Insurance & Superbills
Laya Women’s Therapy is primarily a private-pay and out-of-network practice. I can provide a superbill after our session that you may submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement, depending on your plan.
Because coverage varies, I recommend contacting your insurance provider directly and asking the following questions:
Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
Do I have a deductible? If so, how much has been met?
What percentage of the session fee may be reimbursed after my deductible is met?
Is there a limit on the number of sessions covered?
Do I need prior authorization?
How do I submit a superbill for reimbursement?
A superbill does not guarantee reimbursement, but it can give your insurance the information they need to process an out-of-network claim.
To support accessibility when possible, I may be available through specialized women’s and perinatal mental health platforms, such as Seven Starling. Availability may vary, and I’m happy to discuss current options during your consultation.
Under the No Surprises Act, clients who are uninsured or self-pay have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges before beginning services and upon request. Self-pay includes clients who have insurance but choose not to use it for services. CMS states that providers must give uninsured or self-pay clients notice of their right to receive a Good Faith Estimate.
Cancellations
Your appointment time is reserved for you. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged the full session fee, except in cases of emergency or circumstances outside of your control.
