Perhaps being pregnant or becoming a mother has brought feelings you didn't quite expect.
You may love your child deeply, and still find yourself feeling down, overwhelmed, or disconnected. Burnout, perinatal depression and anxiety, or feeling a loss of your sense of self as you become a parent, are far more common than most people expect. And yet they are still so often faced quietly, and alone.
Laya Women’s Therapy offers a supportive space to help you process what you’ve been carrying and reconnect with yourself as you move through a significant and emotionally complex season.

Perhaps the path to motherhood has looked different than you imagined.
Maybe the journey has taken longer than expected, or moved in directions you weren't prepared for. What you're carrying might be hard to name. Many find themselves holding a complicated mix of emotions. Hope, grief, frustration, pain, longing, and exhaustion. Often all at once, and it doesn't always get the acknowledgment it deserves.
At Laya Women’s Therapy, there’s space for the full reality of what you’re carrying.

Sometimes we are facing a new stage of life and feel that the life that once fit no longer feels quite the same.
You may be navigating an identity shift, a career pivot, marriage, divorce, you or your children entering a new life stage, or simply a season of unexpected change. What initially feels confusing or unsettling can become an opportunity for deeper self-understanding and renewal.
Together at Laya Women’s Therapy, we can sit with what is shifting and move toward new meaning and what comes next.

The life transitions that shape us individually often shape our relationships as well.
Major life transitions can place unexpected strain on even the strongest partnerships. Communication patterns may shift. Intimacy may change. People who deeply care for each other may suddenly feel further apart than they expected.
Laya Women’s Therapy works with couples to create space for understanding, reconnection, and building resilience through some of life's most demanding seasons.

The Laya Home Visit offers in-home therapy support in select local areas during seasons when coming to therapy may feel especially difficult, including pregnancy, postpartum, fertility treatment, loss, or early motherhood.
These sessions create a more spacious, grounded way to process what you are carrying, support your nervous system, and help you feel more steady, supported, and less alone — from the comfort of your own home.
Home visits outside of select local areas may be considered by request and may include an additional travel fee.
Please note: Laya Home Visits are not intended for emergencies or crisis situations. If you need immediate support, please call 988, contact emergency services, or go to the nearest emergency room.
Upcoming Support Circles
Perfectionism in motherhood often exist quietly beneath the surface, especially for women who appear thoughtful, capable, and managing it all from the outside. This support circle offers a space to slow it down, process the pressure, and feel less alone.
Together, we’ll explore common themes, including overthinking, guilt, emotional regulation, stress management, difficulty slowing down, relationship strain, and the feeling of never quite doing “enough,” despite giving so much.
To help foster a supportive and cohesive group experience, enrollment is limited to a small group of mothers for the full 6-week series.
Infertility, often a silent struggle, can feel isolating, emotionally exhausting, and difficult to fully put into words. This support circle offers a supportive space for women navigating infertility to connect, process the emotional ups and downs, and feel less alone.
Together, we’ll explore the mixture of emotions commonly associated with fertility struggles, relationship and intimacy strain, identity and expectation shifts, and the pressure many women carry while trying to hold it all together.
To help foster a supportive and cohesive group experience, enrollment is limited to a small group of women for the full 6-week series.
Upcoming “Mothering in Bloom” Workshop
A gathering for mothers to slow down, connect, and create something beautiful with their hands. Together, we’ll use floral arranging as a grounding practice and reflect on the season of motherhood you’re in, what you’re carrying, what you’re releasing, and what you’re hoping to nurture.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
1. Free Consultation Call
During this free 20-minute consultation, we’ll take time to talk about what you’re looking for, what kind of support may feel helpful, and whether Laya Women’s Therapy feels like the right fit. This is also a space for you to ask questions, learn more about our services, and get a sense of what it may feel like to work together.
2. Intake Session
The intake session is our first session together and a chance for me to get to know you more fully — your story, what brings you to therapy, and what feels most important right now. I’ll ask thoughtful questions about your history, current concerns, relationships, and experiences so we can better understand your needs and begin shaping meaningful goals for our work together.
3. Ongoing Support
From there, we’ll work collaboratively to support your goals in a way that feels thoughtful, personalized, and grounded in your needs. Each session is guided with care and intention, with our focus shaped by what you’re navigating and the type of support being provided.
I typically recommend beginning with weekly sessions to help build momentum, consistency, and a sense of safety in the therapeutic relationship. As our work progresses, we may consider shifting to every other week depending on your needs, goals, and where you are in the process.
-
Laya Women’s Therapy is an out-of-network practice and does not bill insurance directly. I want to provide thoughtful, personalized care that is truly responsive to your needs. At this time, remaining out-of-network allows me to offer that kind of flexibility in our work together.
I can provide a superbill after our session that you may submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement, depending on your plan.
Because coverage varies, I recommend contacting your insurance provider directly and asking the following questions:
Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
Do I have a deductible? If so, how much has been met?
What percentage of the session fee may be reimbursed after my deductible is met?
Is there a limit on the number of sessions covered?
Do I need prior authorization?
How do I submit a superbill for reimbursement?
A superbill does not guarantee reimbursement, but it can give your insurance the information they need to process an out-of-network claim.

Yes, you may be able to use an HSA or FSA card for therapy services. Many clients use these accounts to help cover the cost of care.
Because each plan has its own guidelines, I recommend checking with your HSA/FSA provider directly to confirm what is eligible under your plan, especially for couples therapy or extended sessions.
